A Plain-English Promise
My Order Info ("we", "us", "our") is a small, focused service run out of Karachi, Pakistan. We do one job: when you place an order with an online store that uses My Order Info, we send you a WhatsApp message asking you to confirm or cancel that order before it ships. This page sets out exactly what personal information moves through our system while we do that job, why we hold it, who else gets to see it, and what you're entitled to ask of us. We've tried to write this the way we'd explain it to a friend over the counter — clearly, with nothing important swept under the rug. If a line here leaves you unsure, email contact@myorderinfo.xyz and a real person will reply.
Three Parties at the Table
Every message we send brings together three parties, and who does what is not a detail: — The store you bought from (the merchant). The store is the one that decides confirmations should be sent, which makes it the "data controller" — the party legally on the hook for why and how your information is used. — My Order Info. We're the "data processor". We handle your information only on the store's written instructions, only to run the confirmation service, and never for any agenda of our own. — Meta Platforms, Inc. The messages ride on the official WhatsApp Business Platform (the Meta Cloud API). Meta carries the messages and handles related data under its own terms and privacy policy, which apply to you separately as a WhatsApp user. Questions about why a particular store collected your details? Start with the store. Questions about what My Order Info does with them? That one's for us.
The Information That Reaches Us
We get only what's needed to confirm an order, and not a scrap more: — Your name, exactly as you gave it to the store at checkout. — Your phone number, so the WhatsApp message can actually find you. — Order details — order number, items, order value, and the delivery address, to the extent the store passes them along so you can recognise your own purchase. — Your reply — whether you confirm, cancel, or ask us to stop, along with delivery status (sent, delivered, read). — Basic technical logs — timestamps and system records we need to keep the service running and to chase down problems. We don't build advertising profiles, we don't track your browsing, we don't read your other WhatsApp chats (we can't — all we see is the thread with the store's business number), and we never gather more than the confirmation task calls for.
Why We Hold It, and What Entitles Us To
We process your information for a single purpose: to send you a transactional order-confirmation chat about an order you placed yourself, record your answer, and hand that answer back to the store so it ships only what you actually want. The lawful basis is your consent. At checkout, the store showed you an empty box that named the store, told you the message would land on WhatsApp, and described it as an order-confirmation (utility) message. You ticked it yourself. No tick, no message — we don't send to anyone who hasn't actively agreed, and our contracts forbid the stores we work with from faking that agreement. Where a sliver of processing leans on legitimate interests instead — say, keeping fraud-prevention and security logs — we hold it to the bare minimum.
Who Else Sees Your Information
Three kinds of recipient, and no others: — Meta / WhatsApp. For a WhatsApp message to arrive, its content and your phone number have to pass through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. Meta handles that data under its own policies. — The store you bought from. Your confirmation, cancellation, or other reply goes back to the merchant — that's the entire point of the service. — Sub-processors. Trusted technical providers (cloud hosting and infrastructure vendors, for example) that help us run the service, each tied down by written contracts limiting them to our instructions. That's the whole list. We don't sell your information, rent it, swap it, use it for advertising, or message you about anything beyond the order in front of us. Authorities receive data only where the law genuinely forces our hand.
Where Your Data Travels
Because messages run through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, some of your information is handled on servers Meta operates outside Pakistan, including in other countries where Meta keeps infrastructure. Our own hosting providers may likewise store data outside Pakistan. Wherever it ends up, the promises in this policy travel with it. We pick providers that offer recognised contractual and security safeguards for cross-border transfers, and we move only what the service strictly needs.
How Long We Keep Things
We hold order and message records only as long as they're useful for the job: — Order and reply records stay while the store's account with us is active and for a sensible spell afterwards (usually up to 12 months), so the merchant keeps an audit trail of what was confirmed and when, and so disputes can be settled. — Technical logs live for shorter operational windows, then rotate out. — Once retention ends, records are deleted or irreversibly anonymised. A merchant can tell us to delete records sooner, and you can ask for deletion yourself (see your rights below). Where a law makes us keep something longer — financial records, for instance — we keep only what that law demands.
Locks on the Door
We guard your information with measures suited to a messaging service of this kind: encryption in transit (TLS across our systems; WhatsApp's own transport protection between Meta and your phone), access limited to the handful of people who genuinely need it, least-privilege credentials, and regular review of who can reach what. No online system anywhere is flawless, and we won't pretend ours is the exception. If a breach ever puts your personal information at real risk, we'll tell the affected merchants and, where the law requires, the affected individuals and authorities, without undue delay.
What You Can Ask of Us
These are your rights, and we honour them without a fuss: — Access — ask what information of yours we hold. — Correction — get inaccurate details put right. — Deletion — have your information erased, subject to legal record-keeping duties. — Restriction and objection — limit or object to certain processing. — Withdrawal of consent — at any moment, with effect from then on. — Complaint — take the matter to a competent data-protection authority if we let you down. Since the store is the data controller, the quickest route is often through the store — but you're always welcome to write to us directly at contact@myorderinfo.xyz. We reply within 30 days, usually a good deal sooner. We may ask you to confirm your identity first; that's to protect you, not to stall you.
One Word Ends It
Reply STOP to any message we send and the messages stop. Right away, for good, and at no cost. We don't hide the option, argue with it, or make you fill in a form. Your number goes onto a do-not-message list for that store, and we won't contact it again unless you opt in afresh at some future checkout. If a message ever reaches you through My Order Info that you're sure you never agreed to, tell us at contact@myorderinfo.xyz. We look into every such report, and stores that abuse consent lose access to the service.
Not Built for Children
My Order Info confirms commercial orders and is meant for people old enough to make purchases — it isn't aimed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly process children's personal information. If you believe a child's details have reached us, write to contact@myorderinfo.xyz and we'll delete them promptly.
Where We Stand With WhatsApp and Meta
My Order Info is an independent Pakistani service. We build on the official WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta Cloud API) as an authorised technology user of that platform — and that's the whole of the relationship. We are not affiliated with, partnered with, sponsored by, or endorsed by WhatsApp LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc., or Facebook in any way. "WhatsApp" and "Meta" are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to name the platform our messages travel on.
When This Policy Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. For changes that genuinely affect you, we'll give clearer notice — through the merchants we serve or prominently on myorderinfo.xyz — before they take effect. The current version always lives at this address.
